Dr. Ilana Smolkin

DVM, CVA, cVSMT, CVH, cANT

Dr. Ilana graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College here in Guelph in 2003.  She then spent 1 year in Memphis, TN, doing a rotating internship at a specialty practice with a strong focus on medicine and Oncology before returning to Guelph and joining the Guelph Animal Hospital in 2004.  Over the last 20+ years, Dr. Smolkin has added different specialty training to her belt, including Acupuncture, Vertebral Spinal Manipulative therapy, Osteopathic techniques, Western and Chinese Herbalism and more!  With a strong focus on Holistic medicine, she loves blending current western medicine with alternative care to come up with a focus unique plan that fits each patient and family.  

In her spare time, she can be found at the curling club, running around her 2 children or whipping up something in the kitchen.  She also shares her time with her two dogs: Nutella and Dos Equis, and two cats: Lunar and Eclipse.
