Dr. Joey earned her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph before graduating with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College.
From a young age, she saw firsthand the meaningful role animals play in people’s lives. Whether volunteering at a seniors’ home with therapy dogs or watching her family dog form a deep connection with her brother with special needs, the human-animal bond has always inspired her. This passion ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Joining the GAH team in July 2025, Dr. Joey is committed to building trusting relationships with clients while working collaboratively to support the health and well-being of their pets. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support patients through every stage of life, helping families navigate both the good days and the more challenging ones. Her professional interests include surgery, emergency medicine, and shelter medicine.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her dog Miso, and their two orange cats, Pekoe and Panko. She also enjoys travelling, rock climbing, caring for her plant collection, and hosting board game nights with friends.
