Katie joined Guelph Animal Hospital in July 2014, beginning her journey as a Client Care Specialist before pursuing her passion for veterinary medicine. After completing the Veterinary Technician program through Thompson Rivers University, she transitioned into her role as a Registered Veterinary Technician and has since grown into her current position as Practice Manager.
Katie has a strong clinical interest in anesthesia, pain management, and implementing feline-friendly techniques to ensure patients experience as little stress as possible during their visit. She is Fear Free Certified, a Certified Cat-Friendly Veterinary Professional, and an active member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association.
A proud “cat person,” Katie shares her home with four very special felines: 4-Ham (her very own black panther), Sir Odin (one-eyed and toothless, but full of personality), Jellybean (TikTok famous, of course), and Bagel (a clever stray who found his forever home).
As Practice Manager, Katie is passionate about supporting her team and fostering a positive, collaborative environment where both patients and staff thrive.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys rollerblading, painting, playing piano, and spending time with her family.
