Rachel joined the Guelph Animal Hospital team in 2023 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Animal Science in 2016 and completed the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2022. Rachel is passionate about lifelong learning and actively continue her education through various programs and opportunities to further develop her knowledge and skills as an RVT.
Rachel's professional interests include nutrition—an area in which she is working toward pursuing my Veterinary Technician Specialty—along with pain management and client education. Ultimately, her day-to-day passion is to help owners help their pets. She strongly believes in empowering pet owners with knowledge to help them make the best decisions for their animals.
At home (and often at work), Rachel is accompanied by her Welsh Corgi, Hurley. They are nearly inseparable—he joins her here at the hospital every day and is her constant companion on hikes and road trips. She also shares her life with a cat named Imara, also known as “Mar Mar.”
Outside of the clinic, Rachel enjoys travelling, horseback riding, and exploring equine health and nutrition. She also loves tackling jigsaw puzzles and has an interest in the paranormal.
